AL WASL PLAZA | WORLD EXPO
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Al Wasl, meaning “connection” in Arabic, is Dubai’s historical name, making it a fitting symbol for the Expo’s theme, “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.” Its design reflects Dubai’s rich heritage through geometry while embodying a dialogue between nature and technology, representing the city's future.
During my time at AS+GG, I was actively involved in developing the construction documents for Al Wasl Plaza, with a primary focus on the comprehensive coordination of MEP systems within the structure. This required close collaboration with engineers and consultants to ensure seamless integration while maintaining the architectural integrity of the design. Additionally, I also worked in coordinating the electrical design system, which was a defining feature of the project. This involved aligning technical requirements with the design intent to enhance the overall experience of the space, ultimately contributing to the project's success.
