MIDWEST MODERN HOUSE

The house was designed for a young family looking to live in a semi-urban environment. The site is strategically located to be hidden from the urban environment, while maintaining close proximity to the Madison city proper surroundings.

The 3,400 square foot home is divided into two rectangular volumes, the Living and Resting. The Living portion is comprised of an open plan, where the Kitchen, Dining and Living room open up as one volume. The Study and Guest Room are designed to be within close proximity from the Living quarters. The Resting quarters create privacy by placing the Master Suite, 2nd Bedroom, Utility room and Garage as a separate entity.
